BLS CUSTOS GROUP LAWYERS INFLUENCE THE FORMATION OF JUDICIAL PRACTICE IN CASES OF TOUR OPERATORS’ DEPOSITING TOURIST FUNDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SPREADING OF COVID-19

Due to world-wide spreading of new coronavirus infection since March 2020, the air communication between Russia and other countries was stopped cold, this led to impossibility for tour operators to provide touristic services in the sphere of outbound tourism.
The Russian Federation Government resolution as of July 20, 2020 No. 1073 approved a special procedure for returning money to tourists for trip vouchers purchased before March 31, 2020, according to which tour operators are entitled to make such return till the end of 2021.
Because of the fact that such order was officially approved four months later the closing of touristic destinations, thousands of tourists have taken legal actions against tour operators for recoverable of money paid for trip vouchers.
The lawyers of BLS CUSTOS GROUP, acting for the Tour operators, have achieved that courts delivered the judgment of the tourists claims denial in respect of such cases in different Russian cities such as Moscow, Omsk, Orenburg, Samara, Abakan, Khabarovsk, Kazan and many others.
